Exhibit Design and Project Management
Project Manager, Exhibit Planner, Designer, and Filmmaker for numerous interpretive exhibits including The Lake Tahoe Maritime Museum, Alcatraz and Hollywood, Crissy Field Interpretive Kiosks, Alcatraz Natural History Signs, The Presidio Visitor Center, Fort Funston Visitor Center, Marin Headlands Visitor Center, along with many other projects.
Feature Documentary Production
“Alcatraz is Not An Island”–Producer
I co-wrote and produced this documentary production about the occupation of Alcatraz Island by American Indians in 1969. “Alcatraz is Not an Island” was an official selection at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival, won the 1999 award for best feature-length documentary at the American Indian Film Festival in San Francisco. and received completion funding from ITVS, in conjunction with PBS station KQED. National PBS broadcast in November, 2002

Short Documentary Production (selected)
“49 Years in Alaska”–Producer/Director
This five-minute promotional film for Alaska Geographic is a light-hearted look at the history of this well respected non-profit group. Using old film footage and documentary music of the ‘50s and ‘60s, the film presents the organization in an entertaining way, but also makes the audience understand the depth and history of Alaska Geographic and its 49-year history.
“Alcatraz and Hollywood”–Producer/Director
I created an in-store exhibit about the relationship of Alcatraz and Hollywood for the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. This exhibit is located in the main retail outlet on Alcatraz Island.
“It’s Our Fight, Too”–Producer/Director
I developed and wrote and produced this project about the changes brought to the city of Richmond, California, by World War II shipyards. This short documentary examines the legacy of this era. Produced in conjunction with the City of Richmond and The Rosie the Riveter Trust. Distribution by the City of Richmond and the Rosie the Riveter Trust.
“We Hold the Rock”–Producer/Director
Working with the Indian community and the leading American historian on this incident, I wrote, produced, and directed “We Hold the Rock”, an award–winning, thirty–minute video on the occupation of Alcatraz by American Indians in 1969. This is presently showing in a permanent installation on Alcatraz Island.

for this interactive multimedia exploration and slide show of Alcatraz Island through all of its historical eras. ”The Battle for the Dunes”–Project

Working with National Park staff and a multimedia contractor, I helped refine this award–winning project and guided it to successful completion.

Awards and Recognition
Artist–In-Residency in Game Design-Bay Area Video Coalition
I developed the outline and working prototype for a 3D interactive video game about time travel and the historic eras of Alcatraz Island. This game was co-authored with Nebula Award-winning science fiction writer Pat Murphy.
